Council Candidate Ross Goldsmith releases his Good Government Game Plan for Gahanna
GAHANNA, OH - Gahanna City Council candidate Ross Goldsmith released his Good Government Game Plan for Gahanna this morning - vowing to provide a vision that brings everyone to the table.
"The next decade will determine the future of growth and opportunity in Gahanna – we need an ambitious vision that supports our families, encourages investment in our infrastructure, and builds a community for all. We need a game plan," said Goldsmith. "Our strategy will put the welfare of our residents and our city at the heart of everything we do. It requires good ideas, good work, and good government."
The Goldsmith for Gahanna's Good Government Game Plan has three prongs and calls on the city to:
1. Envision A Better Future For Our Neighbors
2. Invest In Opportunity
3. Build A Community For All
Goldsmith called his game plan a necessary roadmap to help Gahanna as our region continues to grow - especially as the City struggles with communicating a basic vision to residents. "A basic tenet of good government, is meeting residents where they are. Our city needs to do better at getting information out - the days of sending three agendas and two newsletters on a Friday afternoon and calling it a week are over. Or they soon will be," said Goldsmith.

Ross Goldsmith announces campaign for Gahanna City Council!
GAHANNA, OH - This morning Gahanna resident, Ross Goldsmith, announced his campaign for Gahanna City Council!
A successful public policy advisor and national nonprofit communications executive, Ross declared he was getting into the race to offer a "good government game plan" to restore confidence, communicate clearly, and position Gahanna for a brighter future.
"Gahanna families like mine want competent, equitable leadership that puts forward an intentional blueprint designed to clearly communicate our city's goals and strategy. Our job is to envision a future Gahanna with the resources, infrastructure, and government that supports a community for all. And I have a good government game plan that will get us there.”
Ross Goldsmith has served for more than a decade as a public policy advisor, digital communications innovator, and all-around "good government geek" to three former Franklin County Commissioners where he helped design an agenda created to lift families, create living wage jobs, provide high quality childcare, build affordable housing, invest in local businesses, and move Franklin County forward as a community committed to advancing racial equity and ending disparities in all areas. Goldsmith now serves as the Senior Director of Marketing, Communications, & Public Affairs at the American Association of Service Coordinators - a national nonprofit advocacy and member organization serving those working to connect residents in affordable housing with community services.
